In this 300 hours of Yoga TTC, our focus is not only based on Yoga therapy for the Musculoskeletal Anatomy but also on Yoga Therapy based on Ayurveda & integrating Patanjali's yoga-sutra based counseling as a form of therapy sessions can provide additional benefits which is long-lasting. A program that provides knowledge, skills, and tools to qualified yoga teachers to conduct one-to-one and group yoga therapy sessions. This Yoga Therapy Course enables yoga teachers to help their clients prevent illnesses, ease symptoms, complement medical treatments, and improve their overall wellbeing.
 
Foundations of Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy:

The Yoga Teacher Training is comprised of Foundations of Ayurveda, Uniting Yoga, and Ayurveda.

Foundations of Ayurveda: 
Foundations of Ayurveda offer an in-depth study of the fundamental theories and practices of Ayurveda. This program allows students to personally experience the benefits of daily self-care practices such as seasonal eating, meditation, mindfulness, and yoga at Kripalu, all while exploring Ayurveda’s philosophy and its take on topics such as digestion, and nutrition, anatomy, physiology, and psychology.
 
Uniting Yoga and Ayurveda: Balancing the Doshas
This course, designed for yoga teachers who want to incorporate Ayurveda into their yoga classes and private sessions, deepens your knowledge of the relationship between yoga and Ayurveda, with classes focused on cultivating prana (life force), agni (inner fire), and ojas (vigor).
 
You also Experience the different movements of prana to encourage circulation and a balanced nervous system.
Cultivate the use of Ayurvedic tools to adjust yoga class sequencing and personalize one-on-one sessions that are based on the season, time of day and time of life.
Discover how Ayurveda can support your own balance as a yoga teacher.
Practice various yogic approaches to balancing the doshas.

Creating Prescriptions: The art of creating prescriptions for different dosha types and health-related issues is an effective means for using asana, breathwork, and other therapies.
 
Yoga Therapy for the Musculoskeletal Issues:
The Yoga Therapy for Musculoskeletal Issues focuses on the biomechanics of the body and learning how fascia, muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments work together to produce movement. This module also focuses on common problems and how to work safely with clients. We will focus on various muscles with origin insertion and action. What happens when these muscles get weak or tight. Like the upper cross syndrome and the lower cross syndrome. 
 
In this TTC you can expect to learn the Yoga Therapy applications for the following muscular-skeletal health problems:

Yoga Therapy from Patanjali Yoga Sutra:
Yoga sutra provides clear ideas about the nature of mind and its functions. Studying the chapters of sutra using the various commentaries available and systematic learning under a teacher helps one to understand:
  • What constitute Mind and Consciousness
  • Characteristic activities of mind
  • The source of Mental agitation
  • Consequences of such agitations
  • Means of reducing conflicts and gaining clarity
  • Potentials of a stable and one pointed mind.
  • The transformative power of mind and the consequent clarity and freedom
Many yoga practitioners are completely knowledgeable about these processes and do apply these principles in their own life and practice. Very few therapists use this strategy as one to one personal transformation process.
