Goddess Yoga Retreat

with Sonal Paldini and Goonj Verma
11 Jan 2025 - 18 Jan 2025 (8 days)

This is the retreat that you’ve been waiting for. Join me for a transformative 7-day journey as we move together every morning and evening with intention, love, and mindfulness.

Our Yoga retreat will harness the energies of the full moon in January 2025 and together we will infuse it into our practice with healing affirmations, movement, and friendship.

Yes, this retreat is for all levels. My teaching classes usually include three variations for all the asanas (Yoga poses) and transitions so make them friendly for all levels. My typical Yoga students have some Yoga experience already and the classes are flowy and quick-paced with a slow end.

The duration of this Yoga retreat in January 2025 in Goa is 7 days, which includes a weekend and Lohri holiday, so if you are a working professional, you have to take just 4 days of holidays from work. So, start your new year of 2025 on the right note with fitness and healing.

Goddess Yoga Retreat Teacher

About the Teachers

Sonal Paldini: Sonal Paladini is an Indian living in Germany who was introduced to Yoga from childhood. She found her true purpose in teaching Yoga when she started practicing vinyasa Yoga regularly.  Sonal holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Aum Yogashala in India. Since then she has been teaching multiple times a week in Germany.  At present Sonal teaches 6 times a week in Germany with anywhere between 6 – 30 people per class. Her teaching style is a blend of ancient Yoga traditions and modern practices with an element of surprise, self-love, gratitude, and immense body awareness.

Goonj Verma: Goonj Verma is a dedicated and passionate yoga instructor with a profound commitment to helping students achieve physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga.  Goonj’s journey into yoga began with a foundational 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, the world-renowned birthplace of yoga. She furthered her expertise with a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training and a 50-hour Pranayama course from Bodsphere. Additionally, Goonj is a certified basic-level Reiki practitioner, adding a holistic healing dimension to her practice. Apart from Yoga, Goonj is a disciple of Shri Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj (Son of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj ji), and is a trained Kathak dancer.

Here’s a recap with key info:

  • Retreat Dates: 11 January 2025 to 18 January 2025.
  • Check-in on 11 January 2025 morning and check-out on 18 January 2025. Check-in is at 1400, post that we will regroup for an introduction round. The Yoga session on the first day will start post-check-in so that we can all watch the sunset together post-yoga. On all the other days, there will be two Yoga sessions – one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at sunset time. Check-out will be on January 18 at 10 am.
  • Weekends and special holidays – 11 January 2025 (Saturday), 12 January 2025 (Sunday), and 13 January 2025 (Lohri). This Yoga retreat occurs on the first long weekend of January 2025.
  • The nearest airport to the venue is Manohar International Airport – Goa Airport (GOX), which is just 30 km away. Goa has another airport – Diabolim / Goa International Airport (GOI), which is 58 km away.
  • The typical temperature in Goa in January 2025 is around 20-30 degrees Celcius.
  • If you’re arriving in India from another country, then you need a visa for India. Consider applying for an EVisa for India, which is easy and quick.
  • In order to arrive in Goa from another country, there may not be a direct flight to Goa. You can opt for a flight with a quick change in Delhi (like Air India) or you can take a break in Delhi or Mumbai. Delhi or Mumbai can be stressful if it is your first time in India, so consider flying to Goa directly. Goa is an easier destination for first-timers than the big cities. Once you get accustomed to India, then you can consider spending a few days in other destinations within India. Yes, I am aware that everyone who visits India wants to see the Taj Mahal. My honest opinion as an Indian is to be aware that Agra (the city where the Taj Mahal is situated) isn’t an easy destination for first-timers. You may consider the Golden Triangle route, which is Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), and Jaipur in a group tour or with a trusted taxi driver.
