About the Teacher

I am Dr. Amanda, a dedicated Yoga Teacher and Holistic Life Coach with a background in Metaphysical Science. My personal journey of overcoming chronic fatigue syndrome, PTSD, depression, and anxiety has fueled my passion for holistic healing and guiding others on their wellness path. Through my own experiences, I discovered the transformative power of yin yoga, which became the cornerstone of my practice.

Having explored various yoga styles including hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, yin, yin yang, and aerial yoga, I found that yin yoga resonated deeply with me and supported my healing journey. Alongside my yoga journey, I developed a keen interest in understanding the human brain and its functions during my PTSD treatment. This fascination led me to pursue a PhD in Metaphysical Science, which expanded my knowledge and deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection.

My unique teaching style combines the wisdom of yin yoga postures, nurturing practices, and the neuroscience behind them. I draw from a wealth of knowledge acquired through extensive yoga teacher training and academic studies, incorporating insights from various sources into my sessions. Additionally, I integrate stress management counseling to help individuals mitigate the long-term effects of stress and achieve a sense of balance in their lives.

My ultimate goal is to bring healing stillness into people's lives, enabling them to effectively navigate their challenges and discover a renewed sense of equilibrium. By incorporating mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion into my teachings, I empower individuals to better manage their physical, mental, and emotional well-being and find joy in their journey toward balance and wholeness.

Nalanda Retreat, located on the mesmerizing Mandrem Beach in North Goa, India, offers a green retreat experience with breathtaking views.
